Coolest Motorcycles of All Time
For various reasons, we think these are some of the coolest motorcycles ever to hit the street. Let us know what you think about them.
Kawasaki H2
The new H2 is the street-legal version of Kawasaki’s track-only H2R. It is the only production motorcycle that is supercharged, so you need to experience that power and speed. The chain- and gear-driven blower spins ten times faster than the crankshaft, pushing this brand-new Kawasaki model to 200+ mph. The bike is heavy, but state-of-the-art electronics, suspension, and brakes help her perform as well in turns as in a straight line.
Aprilia RS250
Producing 240 bhp/liter (roughly 72.5), only a few street-legal models of the RS250 have made it to the US. Its digital instruments will let you know that you have reached a top speed of 130 mph. For just 250cc, that is fast.
Ducati Desmosedici
his Ducati is as close to a road racer as street-legally possible. Its four cylinders set it apart, and its “twin pulse” firing, gear-driven cams, and titanium valves all match the racing version. It may be too much for the road, but excess is what bike riding is all about.
MTT Y2K
Did you know that jet helicopter engines are road-safe? MTT found out and started putting them into their Y2K model. The result is 320 bhp at 52,000(!) RPM and 227 mph. Let’s add this bad boy for guts.
